Former Director of the National Security Service (NSS) Artur Vanetsyan has commented upon Nikol Pashinyan's statement regarding his resignation address, criticizing the prime minister for populist remarks, Hraparak.am reports.
″At the press conference in Los Angeles, the prime minister spoke yet another time about things he has very little understanding of. Though after his resignation he still keeps on sending people to me with a request that I remain silent for a while, until the situation calms down, I now see he is breaching the arrangements over and over again, making unclearly defined populist statements about nothing,″ he said, accusing the prime minister also of attempts to influence the public sentiments.
Vanetsyan said he is confident that anyone who closely read his resignation letter got the clear understanding of the message from between the lines. ″So I firmly insist that time and only time will show who will find himself in the garbage bin,″ he added.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who left for the United States on Saturday to take part in the UN General Assembly's 74th session, commented on Vanetsyan's resignation at a press conference in Los Angeles, blaming the former national security chief for a ″disrespectful attitude″ to the commander-chief of the armed forces.
