The Mazhilis members during the plenary session on Wednesday approved the amendments offered by members of the Senate on administrative penalty in the form of fine or arrest up to 10 days for bringing children to unsanctioned rallies, Vlast.kz reports.
The Senate members earlier has recently submitted a draft law on state service and anti-corruption works to the Mazhilis. They proposed to change one of the articles in the code of administrative violations. The bill says that attraction of minors to the rallies, protests, marches, demonstrations and other forms of expression of social, group or personal interests and protests unlawfully held in the country will be fined 252,500 tenge or administrative arrest up to 10 days.
The Mazhilis members confirmed that there were facts, when citizens rallied together with their minor children. In this regard, the Senate members offered to punish such people.
