Ambassador of Thailand to Azerbaijan with a residence in Ankara H.E. Mr. Tharit Charungvat visited the office of the International Eurasia Press Fund while his visit to Baku.
During the meeting with the Chairman of the IEPF were discussed trade and investment opportunities between Azerbaijan and Thailand, development of tourism potential, as well as the future cooperation perspectives between the two countries.
H.E. Tharit Charungvat noted that Tai people has a vision for Azerbaijan as a gate to Europe. Mr. Ambassador mentioned that this is his third visit to Azerbaijan.
He also added that, this time his visit has an extra meaning as this quick trip overlaps with Formula 1 race to be held in Baku this week. The ambassador in his place sent his congratulatory message to the people in Azerbaijan for hosting such an event.
During the meeting, the IEPF Chairman Mr. Umud Mirzayev touched upon the Azerbaijan –Armenia Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, its background, severe outcomes and role of the civil society organization in conflict resolution.
He noted that, the IDP’s in Azerbaijan desire of a day of their unconditional return of to homelands.
Chairman of the IEPF noted that since now double standards have been shown to the resolution of the conflict. Talking on behalf of the civil society organizations in Azerbaijan Mr. Mirzayev said that the ordinary citizens in Azerbaijan has began to lose their faith in the international organizations conflict resolution efforts.
Umud Mirzayev stressed that the international organizations makes no difference between host and invader.
