The Central Election Commission of Kazakhstan has terminated mandate of a member of the Senate of Kazakhstan of Dariga Nazarbayeva, EDNews.net reports citing AKIpress.
The Central Election Commission issued a resolution at today's meeting on termination of the mandate of Dariga Nazarbayeva as member of the Senate.
The mandate was terminated in accordance with the Constitution and Constitutional Law, the presidential order on Dariga Nazarbayev of May 2.
The presidential order terminating Dariga Nazarbayeva's powers was published on May 2.
Dariga Nazarbayeva became the Speaker of the Senate of Kazakhstan on 20 March 2019. On August 12, 2019, President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev appointed Dariga Nazarbayeva as member of the Senate.
Dariga Nazarbayeva, 57, graduated from the Moscow State University, Kazakh State University, majoring in history.
Dariga Nazarbayeva held the post of the Vice Chairperson of the Mazhilis, served as Vice Prime Minister. Then she became a member of the Senate.
