"The Azerbaijani side determinedly supports all steps of brother Turkey that played an important role in development and progress of the region of the Mediterranean Sea through history, which aimed at provision of peace and stability in the region and based on the international law and expresses its hope that the current tension will be resolved soon", said head of press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Leyla Abdullayeva, EDNews.net reports citing APA.
According to her, in this regard, attempts of the third sides to use the situation as an opportunity for their enmity and biased approach to regional countries should determinedly be refused:
"Position and statement of the Armenian side, containing groundless accusations against Turkey should be condemned as an attempt of using the sensitive situation in the region of the Mediterranean Sea for its narrow political interests and rejected."
