The killing of the civilian population of Azerbaijan by the Armenian Armed Forces must be condemned by the International Security Organizations, said Peter Tase, American political analyst.
On September 27, Armenian armed forces in the occupied Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan launched provocative attacks against the positions of Azerbaijan army and the civilian settlements at the line of contact. According to local news, there are a number of casualties among residents. As a result of the attack by Armenian side, the family of five and two children were killed. However, the command of Azerbaijan army staff decided to launch the counter-offensive attacks of Azerbaijan armed forces along the entire line of contact in retaliation to the Armenian provocative attacks. Azerbaijani military units, with their manpower, armed vehicles and heavy artillery, have been carrying out successful operations to liberate lands from Armenian occupation in accordance with international law.
Peter Tase condemned Armenia and its army in committing furious crimes and atrocities against Azerbaijani soldiers and innocent civilians.
"The killing of the civilian population of Azerbaijan by the Armenian Armed Forces is a terrible event that must be condemned by the International Security Organizations. Armenia must be punished for the monstrous atrocities committed against Azerbaijan," Tase stressed.
Tase considered that Azerbaijan has every right to liberate its occupied territories, adding that " now is the time to fully recover all its sovereign lands and eliminate the malicious occupation of Armenia, that has been going on for over thirty years."
According to him, Europe has failed to understand that Armenia is a source of turmoil, instability, destruction and is the origin of armed attacks against its neighboring countries.
"It is urgent for the entire international community to understand that Armenia must be stopped and held accountable. Recent military actions taken by Azerbaijan are legitimate and hopefully the entire occupied territory can be liberated - from Armenian occupation - over the next few weeks," he added.
It should be noted that Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict started in 1988 when Armenia made territorial claims against Azerbaijan. As a result of war, Armenian armed forces have occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijan territory, including Nagorno-Karabakh and seven surrounding regions.
Armenian regime still ignores four UN Security Council and two UN General Assembly resolutions that demand the complete, unconditional and immediate withdrawal of Armenian armed forces from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan.
