Co-head of Topchubashov Center, Baku-based think tank, Rusif Huseynov conducted an interview with Eiki Berg, expert on international relations regarding the current situation around Karabakh conflict. 

Eiki Berg is a professor of International Relations at the University of Tartu in Estonia. 

Main questions in the interview Berg answered are related to the internal and external reasons of the outbreak of the Second Karabakh War, interpretations of Armenian and Azerbaijani side on the recent Karabakh conflict, and the presence of Russian peacekeeping forces in Karabakh. 

In his interview, Berg said that Armenian side was trying to make war in Karabakh during 44 days as kind of response to international terrorism. 

"During war Armenian side basically tried to say that what is going in Karabakh is war against international terrorism," he said. 

According to the view of Berg, the Nagorno-Karabakh exclave has become the protectorate of Russia. Moscow is a new patron of Nagorno-Karabakh.
