Pakistan and Azerbaijan on Thursday inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Disaster Management Cooperation in Islamabad, Eurasia Diary reports citing the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency reported.
The Signing Ceremony was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad.
The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov signed the MoU.
The Chairman National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Lieutenant General Akhtar Nawaz was also present on the occasion.
Under the agreement, Pakistan and Azerbaijan will assist each other in case of emergencies and natural disasters.
Earlier, the two foreign minister held delegation-level talks and reviewed the entire spectrum of bilateral relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
