The Azerbaijani-Turkmenistan agreement on the Memorandum of Understanding on the Dostlug oil field was ratified by the Turkmen Parliament on March 13, Eurasia Diary reports citing Virtualaz news agency.
"The relevant decision on ratification of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of Turkmenistan on joint exploration and development of resources in the Caspian Sea was made at a special session of the Turkmen parliament," the statement said.
It should be noted that the memorandum resolving the dispute over the field was signed on January 21, 2021. The field's reserves are estimated at 50 million tons of oil.
