US President Joseph Biden transgressed all rules of diplomacy when he called Vladimir Putin, President of Russia “Killer”, said Michael Finkel, Israeli expert on international relations.
He said there is no proof that confirms Biden’s hard rhetoric against Putin.
Speaking to Eurasia Diary, Michael Finkel has made his comments on the recent tension between leaders of the United States and Russia.
Finkel initially touched upon Vladimir Putin’s suggestion to Joseph Biden to take part in the public debate in front of global TVs.
According to him, President Biden is trying to show himself like emperor of Rome.
“Biden’s refusal to debate publicly with Putin is not a surprise for me. His mental condition is not at peak. Far from that. Let’s put it this way. Biden is also trying to put down Putin by not willing to engage with him in public debates. He is not looking at him. He is trying to show that his way is above like seizure of room,” Finkel said.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, in his response to Biden’s rhetoric, pointed at the U.S. history of slavery and slaughtering Native Americans and the atomic bombing of Japan during World War II.
Israeli expert appreciated Putin’s answer and said that he was absolutely right.
“I think that Vladimir Putin was right in what he said. He had to show Biden that American history is not flawless. There are many cases of murders, bloodshed, discrimination, slavery and wars in the history of the US,” he said.
“Whi is guilty in this situation? I think that Putin gave good answer. Putin had to respond and defend himself from Biden’s nonsensical accusations,” he added.
Finkel also considered that Vladimir Putin is more diplomatic in verbal battle than Joseph Biden.
“I am totally on the side of Vladimir Putin. I think that he did not attack Biden. It was Biden who attacked him. Biden called Putin a murderer without any proof whatsoever. Vladimir Putin defended himself, and defended his honor and his good name,” he noted.
“Biden transgressed all rules of diplomacy, of good manners and of culture. This is unheard of what Biden did. Mr Putin won in the verbal battle,” he added.
It should be noted that Joseph Biden, in an interview with ABC News, was asked about the US Intelligence report on Russia’s interference in the 2020 US Presidential elections.
In his response, Biden said Russian leader will pay a price for meddling in the US domestic affairs.
Asked if he thought Putin, who has been accused of ordering the poisoning of opposition leader Alexei Navalny and other rivals, is a "killer," Biden said: "I do."
