On 13 April, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will leave for a visit to Azerbaijan, BelTA learned from the press-service of the Belarusian leader, Eurasia Diary reports citing AzeriDaily.
The two-day program assumes a rich negotiating agenda. In particular, the head of the Belarusian state Alexander Lukashenko and the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will hold two meetings. One of them will take place immediately upon the arrival of the Belarusian leader in Baku. In an informal atmosphere, the heads of state will discuss the main directions of Belarusian-Azerbaijani relations and strategic issues of bilateral cooperation.
The official part of the talks is scheduled for Wednesday. The meeting of the presidents will be held in a narrow and expanded format with the participation of members of the delegations. The main attention will be paid to expanding trade and economic interaction and filling cooperation with new content. The parties will consider issues of industrial cooperation, implementation of current and future projects in the field of food production and supply, processing of agricultural products. They will also touch upon no less relevant topics: cooperation in health care, scientific and technical, educational and tourism spheres.
The heads of state will also exchange views on topical issues on the international agenda.
As a result of the negotiations, the signing of bilateral documents is expected.
