Azerbaijani, Turkish Security Councils to hold regular joint meetings on national security issues to be held

Joint efforts will be made with Turkey in order to reshape and modernize the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in accordance with modern requirements, it is reflected in Shusha Declaration on Allied Relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey, APA reports.

The declaration envisages joint efforts to reshape and modernize our Armed Forces in accordance with modern requirements, implement measures to strengthen defense capabilities and military security, increase the joint capacity of the two countries' armed forces, closely cooperate in the management of modern weapons and ammunition. Emphasis is placed on ensuring the coherent functioning of structures and institutions.

It also includes regular joint meetings of the Security Councils of the two countries on national security issues, in which regional and international security issues affecting national interests are discussed.
