President Volodymyr Zelensky says Ukraine is ready to provide Turkey with all assistance required in connection with the raging wildfires.
That’s according to the president’s Twitter, Ukrinform reports.
"I have expressed my sincere condolences to my friend, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, over the massive fires. Ukraine will provide all necessary assistance to Turkey. Our firefighting plane will fly to Turkey tomorrow," Zelensky wrote. He also stressed that the Ukrainian people will stand together with the friendly Turkish people at this difficult time.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, at least one person was killed and six others were hospitalized as a result of a large-scale wildfire that engulfed the Manavgat district in the Turkish province of Antalya.
