"Georgia plays an important role in the Azerbaijani-Armenian relations, and I thank you for that," NATO Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Central Asia Javier Kolomina Piriz told a meeting with Georgian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani, Report informs.
The special representative said the meeting discussed prospects in the context of regional security:
“I was in Azerbaijan yesterday and I will be in Armenia tomorrow. There are too many issues to discuss. I thanked the minister for the initiative put forward by Georgia to hold political consultations between the three countries of the South Caucasus. Georgia really plays a very important and active role in the relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan."
