The UN International Court of Justice in The Hague will announce its decision on the claim of Azerbaijan against Armenia in connection with the violation of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination on December 7, the court said.

The information on the court's website states that the ruling will be read by the President of the Court, Justice Joan E. Donahue. Due to the pandemic, only members of the court and representatives of the participating States in this case will be present in the courtroom.

Azerbaijan filed a lawsuit against Armenia on September 24. In its claim, Azerbaijan stated that 'Armenia has participated and continues to participate in a number of discriminatory actions against Azerbaijanis on the basis of their national or ethnic origin.'

In October, the ICJ held a two-day hearing on the claim of Azerbaijan against Armenia in connection with the violation of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination.
