Last year was significant for Azerbaijan-Russia relations - Envoy

The year 2021 has become significant for bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Russia, Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mikhail Bocharnikov said at a press conference, Report informs.

He noted that the tone of the dynamics of relations was set by the leaders of the two countries, who held meetings four times over the past year. Also, meetings were held at other levels, including parliamentary, deputy prime ministers, foreign ministers and many others.

According to Russian statistics, last year the trade turnover between the two countries for 11 months amounted to $2.9 billion. As the ambassador noted, this figure may reach $3 billion, taking into account the data for December.

The accumulated volume of Russian investments in Azerbaijan is $4.2 billion.
