On January 26, a phone conversation has been held between the foreign minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mahdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan informs.
The ministers have noted with satisfaction the high level of development of relations between the two countries in various fields. It was noted that cooperation was successfully implemented on both bilateral and multilateral platforms.
The ministers noted with satisfaction the intensity of contacts between the two countries over the past year, both at the level of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and among other agencies. The sides have exchanged views on the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two brotherly countries this year.
Referring to the meeting of the Azerbaijan-Pakistan Joint Intergovernmental Cooperation Commission in Baku in December last year, the sides have stressed the importance of expanding cooperation in all areas.
During the phone conversation, the minister of the Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mahdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi has invited his Azerbaijani colleague to the next-48th meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to be held in Islamabad.
The parties have also discussed other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
