Poland has a positive response to Ukraine concerning F-16s supply

Politics A- A A+

Ukraine is negotiating with its allies to transfer warplanes and long-range missiles to destroy warehouses behind the Russian army and its command posts, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said in an interview with CBC on Sunday. Andriy Yermak, chief of staff of the President of Ukraine, also commented on the acquisition of the F-16 aircraft in Telegram.

On the Telegram channel, Andriy Yermak, the chief of staff of the President of Ukraine, wrote that “work is being done on the acquisition of F-16 fighters. We have positive signals from Poland, which is ready to provide them to us in agreement with NATO.” The Air Force currently operates 48 Lockheed Martin F-16 Jastrząb [C/D Block 52+ Advanced] multirole combat aircraft.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said this morning [January 31]: “As was the case a few months ago in the context of the MiGs, any other air power will be introduced and possibly transferred after consultation with NATO countries. Here we will act in full coordination.”
