Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan does not consider it appropriate to maintain the "government institutions" of the abolished so-called regime in Garabagh, Ednews reports citing Sputnik Armenia.
According to the Armenian head of state, there is the Republic of Armenia and its government bodies are functioning.
"What will these bodies operate for?" he stressed.
At the same time, Yerevan protects the rights of Garabagh Armenians.
Khachaturyan noted that the matter of return of Armenian residents, who left Garabagh voluntarily is being discussed.
The President of Armenia added that the current government did not hand over Garabagh and that Garabagh was recognized as an integral part of Azerbaijan in 1991.
