President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited Hajigabul district on April 9, Ednews reports.
The head of state inaugurated the Mughan-Birinji Pashali-Ikinji Pashali-Shorbachi-Birinji Udullu-Taghili-Ikinji Udullu-Gubadli highway in the Hajigabul district.
Chairman of the Board of the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads Saleh Mammadov briefed the head of state on the works done.
It was reported that the fundamentally reconstructed road connects 8 residential areas of the district to ensure convenient movement of citizens. The two-lane highway with a length of 39 kilometers was built according to the 4th technical grade.
Excavation of swollen and collapsed parts of the road, raising, widening, shaping, and widening the soil bed up to 10 meters in certain parts have been done.
Drain pipes of different diameters, which have become unusable along the route, have been replaced with new ones, and new reinforced concrete drain pipes of different diameters have been installed where necessary. In addition, a new three-span reinforced concrete bridge was built in place of the existing metal bridge located on the Pirsaat River in the Udullu village area, which has already expired.
As a result of the works, more than 12,000 people have been provided with comfortable transportation, cargo and passenger transportation has become easier.
It will play an important role in improving the transport connection of the settlements covered by the major reconstructed highway with the district center, as well as in the development of the economy and agriculture in this region, as well as in the improvement of people's lifestyle and well-being.
