United States National Security Council (NSC) spokesperson Adrienne Watson told reporters on Wednesday that US President Joe Biden believes that the Palestinian state should be realized "through negotiations not unilateral recognition."
Previously, Biden underscored that Washington doesn't consider the events taking place in the Gaza Strip as acts of "genocide." He further mentioned that the country continues to stay committed to "bringing the region together to work towards a two-state solution."
In the meantime, Spain, Norway, and Ireland all decided to recognize Palestine as a state.
