Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov commented on Tuesday on remarks made by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, who urged allies to consider allowing Ukraine to use their weapons to strike Russian territory. Peskov called Stoltenberg a "hothead" and said his statement was "absolutely irresponsible and provocative."
However, Peskov claimed that there is no consensus among NATO allies on the issue and that some Western leaders are "wondering whether it is necessary to continue to escalate like this." He added that the Russian military is preparing countermeasures in case of Ukrainian attacks on its territory, Ednews reports.
