Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Tuesday that any French military troops on the Ukrainian territory will represent a legitimate target for Russian forces, Ednews reports.
"As for the question of French instructors, I have reason to believe, and there are many concrete facts, that they are already operating in Ukraine. Whoever they are, whether they are members of the French Armed Forces or simply mercenaries, they represent a legitimate target for our armed forces," Lavrov noted during a press briefing.
Previously, it was reported that France could send its military instructors to Ukraine this week, despite the risk of direct conflict with Russia.
