A telephone conversation took place between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian.

It was reported that the conflict between Israel and Iran, as well as regional and global issues, were discussed during the talks. Recep Tayyip Erdogan stressed that Turkey could be a mediator.
According to the report, President Erdogan said in the conversation that he had held talks with the leaders of other states regarding the conflict process between Israel and Iran, and that Ankara was ready to play a mediating role for an early end to the conflict and a return to nuclear negotiations.
He also noted the importance Turkey attaches to maintaining peace and stability in the region.
