The massively popular battle royale title "Apex Legends" could soon land on iPhone, according to the game's publisher Electronic Arts.
Taking into consideration how popular Apex Legends has been for EA — it is their fastest growing franchise to date — it is no surprise that the company is working on bringing it to mobile platforms as well.
Apex Legends is a battle royale style game in the same vein as Fortnite and PUBG, but is currently limited to consoles and PC.
EA said it is in advanced negotiations to bring the game not only to mobile, but China as well. The gaming giant didn't name drop iOS or iPhone specifically, but Apple's massive mobile footprint usually guarantees large titles will debut on the App Store.
News of EA's plans for Apex Legends arrives as Apple prepares a first-party gaming service dubbed Apple Arcade. Previewed in March, Apple Arcade will debut in over 150 countries this fall with exclusive games from the likes of Sega, Devolver, Disney and more.
