In February 2018, the IEPF signed an agreement with the University of Pécs in Hungary and received the status of the only ECL (European Consortium for the Certificate of Attainment in Modern Languages) in the country. Eurasia Education Center became the first Center in the Republic of Azerbaijan, on the basis of which everyone who wish to get the international certificate can attend the preparatory courses and pass an ECL exam.
What is ECL?
The international ECL examination system provides a standardised test-system customised to the languages of the European Union (EU) member states and the EU candidate countries.
The ECL examination system was developed by an international team of language testing experts, between 1983 and 1992. Since 1999 the International Centre of the ECL Exams operates at the Foreign Language Secretariat, at the University of Pécs, the first university in Hungary, established in 1367.
On the basis of the uniform criteria established in the first phase of standardisation, ECL exams can be taken in English, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, Rumanian, Bulgarian, Serbian, Slovak, Russian, Spanish, Croatian, Czech and Hebrew.
ECL tests do not contain grammatical and translation tasks. Testing is carried out in accordance with the Common European Framework for Assessing the Level of Knowledge of a Foreign Language: A2 (Pre-Intermediate level); B1 (Intermediate level); B2 (Advanced) and C1 (Professional level)
At each level, four main types of language knowledge and skills are tested:
• Reading (tasks for understanding texts)
• Letter (essay writing)
• Listening (listening comprehension tasks)
• Speaking (conversation on a given topic)
ECL certificates are officially recognized in the European Union as a document confirming the level of language competence, which is necessary for participation in any international education programs, work and migration.
Online ECL Preparation and Practice Course
In June, Eurasia Education Center organized Online ECL Preparatory and Practice English Course with a tutor from the United States Peter Sabath, who has almost 20 years of experience in the field of education.
During the four-week course, participants learned about the ECL system and were trained to take the ECL B2 level exam.
The next ECL Online training courses with a tutor from the United States is planned for November. All interested candidates can register to the course by contacting the Eurasia Education Center.
At the end of the course, participants can register in the system, take an exam and receive an international language certificate.

ECL does not have an age limit when passing the ECL exam that is why it is a good option for those who want to improve their CV .
