Executive Director of the Geneva Center for Human Rights Advancement and Global Dialogue (Global Centre) Ambassador Idriss Jazairy sent an official letter to the president of the International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF) Umud Mirzayev where reaffirmed the commitment of the Centre to explore further opportunities for mutual collaboration, Eurasia Diary informs.
Ambassador Idriss Jazairy extended his sincere appreciation to the IEPF for the warm welcome during the visit to Baku from 1-3 May when Jazairy attended the 5th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue as a participant and one of the panelists. Ambassador also highlighted the importance of multiple activities initiated by the IEPF to promote mutual understanding and cooperative relations between people and to contribute to the safeguarding of, and respect for, human rights and dignity in accordance with established international relations.

“Dear Mr Mirzayev,
I avail myself of this opportunity to extend my sincere appreciation to the International Eurasia Press Fund for the warm welcome with which myself and the delegation of the Geneva Centre were received during our visit to Baku from 1-3 May.
The visit of the International Eurasia Press Fund allowed me to become acquainted with the multiple activities initiated by your organization to promote mutual understanding and cooperative relations between people and to contribute to the safeguarding of, and respect for, human rights and dignity in accordance with established international standards.
I would like to reaffirm the Geneva Centre’s commitment to explore joint avenues with the International Eurasia Press Fund to promote a value-driven human rights system and to capitalise on the expertise which the International Eurasia Press Fund will provide to the Geneva Centre in its endeavours to promote human rights through cross-cultural, religious and civilizational dialogue between the Global North and the Global South.
I therefore look forward to exploring further opportunities for mutual collaboration in the field of interreligious and intercultural dialogue as well as to strengthen the cooperative relations between the Geneva Centre and the International Eurasia Press Fund.

IEPF president Umud Mirzayev expressed his gratitude to Ambassador Jazairy for his letter and mentioned that the IEPF is keen to work together on further development and strengthening of our mutual collaboration in the field of interreligious and intercultural dialogue and other initiatives/projects aimed to benefit the civil society development.
It is important to mention that on May 1st during the visit of Jazairy to Azerbaijan, an official Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the International Eurasia Press Fund and the Geneva Centre. The ceremony of signing happened in the presence of national MPs of the Parliament of Azerbaijan, members of national human rights commissions, diplomatic community, civil society organizations and media representatives. The MoU lays the foundation for a collaborative partnership between both organizations in the holding of joint panel debates at the United Nations Office in Geneva on issues related to global governance, the promotion of human rights of IDPs as well as the promotion of cooperative relations between people and societies.
The agreement also commits the parties to arrange and organize joint training programmes in relation to the promotion of human rights, peace and sustainable development in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region as well as in Asian-Caucasus region.
