Interior Ministry of Kazakhstan says oil field conflict resolved

Interior Ministry of Kazakhstan announced the resolution of conflict in Tengiz oil field and the situation is stable now.

The police department of Atyrau region has lauched a pre-trial investigation into hooliganism in the Tengiz oil field in the northwestern Kazakhstan, the Interior Ministry said, AkiPress reports.

The law enforcement officers held a conversation with the participants of the incident.

"Today, the conflict is resolved," police said.

The Ministry of Interior Affairs has strongly recommended to prevent spreading invalid information about the conflict.

Police officers are ensuring public security now. The situation is stable and controlled by authorities.

A brawl in the Сohsolited Contracting Endihering erupted after a Lebanese contractor reportedly posted a photo on WhatsApp featuring a Kazakh female colleague that many in the former Soviet nation saw as insulting.
