Today the President of International Eurasia Press Fund and the Vice Chairman of Azerbaijan Press Council Umud Mirzayev met the Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary to Azerbaijan Viktor Sedergenyi together with diplomats from the Embassy Ruszlana Dunas-Varga, Diplomatic Officer Foreign & Commercial Affairs and Mihaly Qruber, Second Secretary Diplomat for Culture and Education. At the meeting, there was also ECL Instructor and lecturer at the University of Pécs from Washington DC Peter Sabath among the official guests.

During the meeting, the Embassy and IEPF discussed prospects of cooperation in particular the sphere of education and humanitarian issues.

According to Eurasia Diary, the visit was an exploratory one. During the discussions, the IEPF president told about the main directions of the organisation’s work, and presented a number of humanitarian projects implemented in collaboration with various international institutions, diplomatic missions and UN agencies. The parties discussed possible options for developing cooperation in the future, in particular the field of education.

It is worth noting that IEPF is the founder of the Eurasia Educational Centre, the only examination centre for preparing and passing the ECL (European Consortium for the Certificate of Attainment in Modern Languages) exam, in Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iran and Central Asia. The centre has an official agreement with the Hungarian University of Pécs, in which the ECL International Exam Centre is based.

Tomorrow, January 14, a 3-day Pre-ECL training on a modern and practical approach to mastering the English language will start in Baku. The training is organised by the International Eurasia Press Fund in cooperation with the Hungarian ECL center and plans to reach a wide audience of 50 people, both students and teachers. On the second day, partners and participants from Georgia will join the event.

The president of the International Eurasia Press Fund, Umud Mirzaev and the Hungarian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Victor Sederkenyi, agreed to think about further joint projects in the humanitarian and educational fields.
