Well-known photographer Reza Deghati shared new images of Javanshir Khan Palace in Shusha, where Khurshidbanu Natava lived.
In a Facebook post, the famous photographer described the destruction of the palace with heartburn:
"In 1992, I visited the house and palace where Khurshidbanu Natava lived. It was here that she wrote some of her poems and planned to build a water pipeline to supply Shusha with water. Standing in front of the window of her room, I realized where she was inspired by her poems.
Javanshir Khan Palace functioned as a house museum until the occupation of the city by Armenian forces. When I returned to Shusha in December 2020, I was almost shocked. Everything inside the museum was looted and the house itself was partially destroyed. The yard of the house was turned into a piggery. Why? ”
