As Ednews reported that funded by the European Union (EU) and the US State Department and carried out by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in partnership with ANAMA, the International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF) and the Mine Advisory Group (MAG), Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA), the opening ceremony of the project "supporting the safe return of Internally Displaced People (IDPs) through Capacity Building" was held.
Ednews reports that dogs and rats will be used to mark the locations of unexploded remains after the war.
It was reported that mine detecting rats will be brought to the country on June 26. Later, the use of mice in the detection of mines was shown in practice.
The event was attended by Chairman of the Board of ANAMA Samir Poladov, President of the IEPF Umud Mirzayev, official representative of the Azerbaijani representation of the European Union Udriste Oana, political adviser of the US Embassy Phillip Tissue and others and they greeted the guests and talked about the mine problem of Azerbaijan and the steps taken in this direction.
Noted that Samir Poladov, Deputy Chairman of ANAMA Management Board, spoke at the event of the team of female deminers in Tartar. Samir Poladov wished success to the team of women minedeminers. He said that experts will undergo training in accordance with international standards in the upcoming months.
Samir Poladov noted that there will be an exam after the training. People who successfully pass these trainings and exams will be recruited.
