“Anyone can be behind this” said Dmitriy Rodionov – Russian expert, member of the Expert Council of the Institute of innovative development, director of the international MIT projects and head of the Centre for Geopolitical Studies, in his exclusive comment on Russian ambassador Andrei Karlov’s assassination in Turkey.
"Anyone can be behind the ambassador’s assassination. One of the possible scenarios is the operation of Western intelligence agencies aimed at undermining the deal signed by Moscow and Ankara in the field of division of influence in Syria that was made bypassing Washington.
Another scenario is the personal revenge of Gulenists to Turkish president. In the end, it could be really a terrorist- loner revenging for Aleppo. However, the history is replete with examples where such loners became the triggers to global shocks, up to the world wars. Nevertheless, it’s worthy to excogitate these loners even if they do not exist.
Undoubtedly, this terrorist act raises many questions personally to Erdogan. It’s not just the feebleness of security services against terrorism- the problem is that nobody in Turkey really did fight against terrorism.
They fight for some reason against Kurds whose tracks were tried to see almost in every terrorist attack in the country, even when the responsibility for these publicly assumed by the ISIS.
Meanwhile, Turkey has been a field hospital, rest home and supply base for various Syrian terrorist groups, the members of which not very fond of Russia and approve secret deals on Syria between Moscow and Ankara. The result- is obvious.
Here, as in the case of a downed aircraft, you can again put all the blame on enemies, who are trying to undermine the authority of Turkish President and accelerate establishment of relations between the two countries."
