It’s website Calcio Mercato who brings an update on the situation today, saying that although the midfielder has shown his desire to join the Rossoneri, manager Maurizio Sarri doesn’t want to lose him until the London side sign a replacement.
That’s why Roman Abramovich should soon speak to Fabregas and make a decision on the player’s future. And that’s when Milan will know if they can finally make an attempt or not.
According to Calcio Mercato, the Italian side are already planning to ask for a discount on the price demanded by Chelsea, which is said to be between €10m and €12m.
The website recalls that the clubs still have to negotiate for Tiemoué Bakayoko at the end of the season. Although there’s a €40m buying option for the player, Milan want a discount, while Chelsea ‘don’t want bad surprises’.
