It looks like Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez is close to completing a move to Premier League side Arsenal.
Suarez, who has made just six competitive appearances for the Catalan giants this season, is seeking first team opportunities and manager Unai Emery is ready to make the move permanent.
The Gunners are expected to pay around £18 million for the 24-year-old Spanish centre-midfielder, according to Football.London.
Suarez played under Unai Emery during his time at Sevilla and during a two season loan spell in the 2014/15, he made 31 appearances for Los Filigranas, scoring twice in that period.
Arsenal have reportedly suggested the possibility of taking the player on loan for the rest of the season, but it is believed Barcelona are keen on a permanent deal, as Aaron Ramsey is set to leave The Gunners in the coming days.
Suarez may well be a like-for-like replacement for Ramsey, who has signed a pre-contract agreement with Juventus and will join in the summer according to Media SeIt is believed the 28-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal worth £145,000-a-week.
The Welshman had been attracting interest from all over Europe with the likes of Real Madrid and AC Milan weighing up an offer, but it appears Juventus have won the race to his signature.
If the transfer does transpire, it'll bring an end to an 11-year spell at the Emirates. He signed from Cardiff City in 2008 for a reported £4.8 million.
