After the match, both head coaches of the teams gave an interview at the press conference.

Gennaro Gattuso spoke in the post-match press conference after the Derby di Milano, won 3-2 by the Nerazzurri.
"We should have been more compact. We need to look back on the first half, we weren't at it in the first 45 minutes. For the first goal, we conceded from a seven on two situations. After that, we didn't deal with the high pressure. We're disappointed, but a team without the right mentality would have collapsed today. Inter are a great side that is going through a difficult spell. When it was 2-3, we could have scored."

"Our history is clear, we are Inter so it’s normal for us to be criticized after getting knocked out," said Luciano Spalletti after the game. "We did well to put it straight behind us, showing the right attitude again as a team. We forget about what happened on Thursday, we drew a line under it and got back on track with different sort of performance."
