It appears Serie A giants AC Milan will announce the departure of manager Gennaro Gattuso on Tuesday after the 41-year-old all but confirmed his departure from the club.
Gattuso, who was appointed in November 2017, failed to secure Champions League football for the sixth consecutive season in what was seen as a disappointing campaign.
In an interview with Italian newspaper Repubblica, Gattuso revealed his decision wasn't easy but it was thoughtful:
"Deciding to leave Milan's bench is not easy but it's a decision I had to make," he said.
"There was not a precise moment in which I decided, it was the sum of these 18 months as coach of a team that for me will never be like the others. Months that I lived with great passion, unforgettable months.
