Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman building a truly frightening side after making Memphis Depay his fourth signing this summer.
The Blaugrana officially announced the free transfer of Dutch forward Depay on Saturday on a two-year contract.
A club statement read: "FC Barcelona and Memphis Depay have reached an agreement for the player to join the club once his contract with Olympique Lyonnais is at an end. The player will sign a contract until the end of the 2022/23 season."
Depay joined Lyon in 2017 after a miserable couple of years at Manchester United, and managed to revive his career, before calling time on his spell in France.
Depay follows Manchester City pair Eric Garcia and Sergio Aguero through the arrivals door, while Emerson will finally become a Barca player after his two-year loan spell with Real Betis expired.
The La Liga giants are making the most of the free transfer market due to the concerning £1billion-worth of debt that has come to the fore as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
However, Koeman has still managed to assemble a team that should be capable of competing for domestic and European titles to put their miserable year behind them last term.
