Barcelona are set to battle Chelsea as they target a swoop for Sevilla defender Jules Kounde, and also look to prize away Blues defenders Cesar Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen.
Barca manager Xavi has earmarked Kounde as a key summer target and is also keen to shore up his defence with a raid for the Chelsea pair.
Kounde, 23, was a target for Thomas Tuchel’s side last summer, only for the London club to baulk at the Andalusians’ £60million valuation for the star centre-back.
Tuchel instead gave academy graduate Trevoh Chalobah the chance to impress and the 22-year-old has hit the ground running at Stamford Bridge when being called upon, and not put a foot wrong.
Chelsea are understood to remain keen on Kounde, with doubts over the futures of Azpilicueta, Christensen and the impressive Antonio Rudiger.
Tuchel is keen to keep hold of all three players, but so far contract negotiations have hit a stumbling block.
Spanish newspaper Sport are claiming Barcelona are ready to raid Sevilla for the defender.
Xavi is keen to bolster his defence, with Barcelona shipping 25 La Liga goals so far this season, and the Terrasa-born manager is also an admirer of Christensen and Azpilicueta, who he is targeting on free transfers this summer.
