The spokesman of Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Abu Zeid, slammed CNN’s coverage of EgyptAir flight MS804’s crash.
In a message on Twitter, the spokesman said that CNN’s theories that the airplane crashed as a result of pilot suicide were disrespectful.
It’s disrespectful that @CNN insinuates pilot suicide in #EgyptairMS804 tragedy while families are mourning,” read the tweet which was retweeted hundreds of times.

Since the spokesman’s statement, Egyptian social media users openly criticized CNN and other news outlets for the ‘insensitive’ theories.
The article states that among the possible theories is that a “pilot may have tried to commit suicide by intentionally crashing the plane, the cause of several crashes in the past.”
The military said it had found the debris about 290 km (180 miles) north of the port city of Alexandria and was searching for the plane’s black box flight recorders.
This is what is ripping our hearts apart, when we think about it. When someone you love so much dies, at least you have a body to bury. But we have no body until now,’ said Sherif al-Metanawi, a childhood friend of the pilot, Mohammed Shoukair.
Britain’s “Times” writes that “no hard evidence of a bomb has been found, and no claim of responsibility has been announced. But because of the way EgyptAir Flight 804 dropped out of the sky, and the fact that it was headed to Egypt government officials and outside experts agree that the odds favor a terror strike.”
The first and perhaps most likely possibility is that the airliner was brought down as airliners usually are—by a bomb sneaked onto the plane at its last point of departure, that was Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris.
EgyptAir investigation goes on at Charles de Gaulle airport in terms of trying to work out exactly what went on with that plane when it was on the ground for around an hour here.
While all the passengers are seached, employees of the airport, are also not excluded from the investigation.
