A mother-of-three who was shielding her baby has been named as one of the victims in the shooting at a Texas supermarket, Sky News reports.
At least 20 people have been killed and more than two dozen wounded after a gunman went on a rampage through a Walmart and shopping centre in El Paso.
Most of the victims have not been named, but Leta Jamrowski told reporters her 25-year-old sister, Jordan Anchondo, had been killed in the attack.
Ms Anchondo had been shopping for back-to-school supplies and was trying to shield her two-month-old son when she was shot and killed, her sister said.
She fell on him as she was shot and the boy is being treated in hospital for broken bones.
Ms Jamrowski, 19, said the child "pretty much lived because she gave her life"
The family are still waiting for news on whether Ms Anchondo's partner, Andre Anchondo, survived the attack.
Families are desperately searching for those still missing, with some posting appeals on social media.
A number of the 26 people injured in the attack have life-threatening injuries, officials have said.
