President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev ordered to allocated 173 billion tenge ($446 million) for reform of the Ministry of Interior of Kazakhstan within 3 years, Tengrinews.kz reports.
He said a full reform in the law enforcement system remains one of the most important tasks.
The head of state underlined that effectiveness of work of the police depends on the prestige of the police service itself.
“A special attention will be paid to protection of citizens from natural challenges and industrial disasters that, unfortunately, became frequent not in our country, but in the whole world,” Tokayev noted.
The President in this regard ordered to increase the salaries of civil protection employees within the funds allocated for the reform of the Interior Ministry.
