Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds invested their money towards a noble cause. Recently they donated $2 million to the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund and the Young Center for Immigrant Children's Rights, International Business Times reports.
The Young Center said that the sum contributed by the "Gossip Girl" star and "Deadpool" actor will be used to set up Waymaker Fund for Immigrant Children, People reports. The fund aims to protect the rights of minors who have been separated from their parents along the border, amidst increased deportation efforts.
NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund aims to promote racial and social justice across the nation. They challenge the unconstitutional legislation and advocacy litigation.
They said that over the years their perspectives have been broadened and they believe that they have to do everything which will enhance "passion" and "empathy" in the world. Lively and Reynolds revealed they are helping in re-writing history. The couple were grateful to donate to organisations who give "voices" to many people.
