The former head of the State Revenue Committee will remain under arrest as the court turned a motion to replace the measure of restraint against him, Tert.am reports.
The Appellate Court published its ruling earlier today, upholding the lower instance decision to keep Gagik Khahchatryan in custody.
Speaking to reporters after the hearing, a lawyer representing the former official, Yerem Sargsyan, said the motion was not satisfied despite the defense team’s efforts.
Khachatryan was arrested late in August over charges of abuse of power.
