US’s recognition of "Armenian genocide" makes no sense President Erdogan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan considered the recognition by the US House of Representatives of the "Armenian genocide" as "worthless" and the "biggest insult" to the Turkish people.

"From here I am addressing US public opinion and the entire world: this step which was taken is worthless and we do not recognise it," President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at AK Party Parliamentary Group Meeting on Wednesday.

Erdogan added that Turkey will not extradite any criminals to the US unless it extradites Turkish Muslim scholar Fethullah Gulen.

He also mentioned the fake Armenian genocide which has recently been recognised by the US House Representatives.

The US forgot about the Armenian terror and blames Turkey for the so-called Armenian genocide, President Erdogan added, Eurasia Diary reports citing Turkish media.

Erdogan noted that Turkey opened all the archives of 1915, while Armenia still hasn’t been able to present any facts, because there was no “Armenian genocide”.

The Turkish president added that Ankara strongly condemns the decision by the US House of Representatives, which voted to recognize the so-called Armenian genocide.

“This resolution has no legal force for Ankara,” Erdogan said.

President Erdogan also added the US shouldn't confuse the politics with the research of history.

"This is what historians should research and prove as evidence if they have but not the the politicians. Therefore what US House reps act now make no sense for us!"
