The number of unemployed people under 29 in Kazakhstan reaches 81,000 people, according to Minister of Information and Social Development Dauren Abayev, Eurasia Diary reports citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Now there are more than 3 million 300 thousand young people in the country, which is 21% of the total population. Among them, more than 2 million people are active part of the working people, 77% are hired workers.
"As of the 2nd quarter of 2019, the unemployment rate of youth was 3.7% or 81,000 people. One of the key parameters of effectiveness of young policy is reduction of youth unemployment," the Minister noted.
He stressed that 388,000 people among these 2 million work in the trading sphere, 253,000 — in agriculture, 239,000 — in education sphere, 218,000 — in industrial facilities, 23% - freelancers.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the most required specialists in Kazakhstan are computer hardware engineers, 3D modeling engineers, machine learning engineers, web and multimedia developers.
A high demand also is observed for construction painters, carpenters, masons and installers.
