Chinese company Hytera has supplied 6,000 bodycameras to Uzbekistan, local media reported, Eurasia Diary reports citing AKIpress.
Road patrol officers in Uzbekistan are required to use bodycameras when on duty from January 1, 2020.
According to the regulation, the driver has the right not to show documents to an inspector who does not have a bodycamera, while the officers are not obliged to show the video to the driver.
Since September 19, 50 officers of the Tashkent police went on to the service with the bodycameras in the test mode.
