Russia has completed the delivery by sea to China of the second regimental set of S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile systems, Eurasia Diary reports citing Bulgarian Military News.
The delivery to China of the second regimental set of S-400 as a command post, two divisions of launchers, radar stations, power and auxiliary equipment, spare parts and tools has been completed,” the source said.
He added that the Chinese military also received more than 120 Russian anti-aircraft missiles of two types.
It is clarified that the acceptance certificate was signed in China in December 2019. It is from this date that the warranty period for servicing equipment from the Russian side for a period of 18 months will come into effect.
The previous supply to the PRC of the second set of air defense systems, Russia carried out in July 2019.
An agreement with China for the supply of at least six S-400 divisions worth over $ 3 billion was signed by Russia in 2014. After that, Turkey, India and Saudi Arabia became interested in Russian air defense.
On December 11, the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee passed a bill imposing sanctions on Turkey over the purchase of the S-400.
