Russia's Iskander rocket, named 9K720 is one of the mobile short-range ballistic missiles, which was first produced by the Defense Ministry of USSR in 1988.
The collapse of the USSR in 1991 did not affect the production of the short-range missile.
The Iskander has several different conventional warheads, including fuel air explosive, high explosive-fragmentation and electromagnetic device.
On 13 February, Russian Rocket Mobilization Centre again tested Iskander missile in order to scrutinize its technological challenges.
The test was succesfully held.
