Russia’s Georgy Kutuzov submarine cruising in Baltic Sea launched ballistic missile on Monday to hit the targets of terrorist groups in northern-west Syria, EDNews reports citing Bulgarian Military News.
According to the representative of Baltic Navy Department of Russian Defense Ministry, who refused to give his name, in the Baltic Sea, one of the Russia’s Submarines in the morning carried out the effective launch of ballistic missile.
Missile was directed to strike the positions of terrorist group, called Al-Nusra, the branch of Al-Qaeda terrorist organization in Hasaka district located in northern-west Syria.
As a result of this, all facilities and objects of terrorist group were annihilated, and more than seven hundred terrorists were killed. No any trace of terrorists remained in wake of such operation.
The long-range missile launched by Russia’s Kutuzov Submarine named Bulava, which is submarine-launched ballistic missile developed for Russian Navy.
Bulava missile is most expensive and advanced weapon project in Russia designed by Moscow Institute of Thermal Technology.
It is the first time that Russia’s navy serving in Baltic Sea launched ballistic missile aimed at neutralizing positions of terrorist group in Syria.
It should be noted that eight years ago, Russia’s military vessels cruising in the Caspian Sea launched missiles in order to strike targets of numerous illegal militant groups in Syria.
Assad government expressed gratitude to Russia for its action of dismantling bases of terrorists.
