Georgia has reported 13 new cases of the coronavirus today, bringing the total number of cases to 208, EDNews reports citing Agenda.ge.
Of the 208 individuals, 46 have recovered, while three others have died.
Two of the new patients are the employees of the National Bank of Georgia.
Director of Tbilisi Hospital of Infectious Diseases Marina Ezugbaia said today that as of now there are eight COVID-19 patients in the hospital related to the bank.
She says that the source of the virus in the bank has not been identified so far.
As of now 157 individuals remain infected with the virus in the country.
4,674 people are under quarantine in Georgia, while 362 others are in hospitals.
Head of the National Disease Control Centre Amiran Gamkrelidze says that April and the first two weeks of May will be “particularly complicated'' for Georgia.
We are likely to have about 400 people infected with COVID-19 by the end of the week,” Gamkrelidze said.
